Mutiny

This article takes the recent refusal of a plane-load of Brits to board until two Muslim-looking men were removed from the plane, as a jumping-off point to look at the larger question: Just how much crap are we willing to take from our so-called superiors? The author's answer seems to be "not much more." I have my doubts, at least here in the U.S. We sit around and piss and moan, but the bottom line is that we are just too comfortable, too distracted, and too lazy to do anything about it.

This is one of those times that I hope to be very wrong. Unfortunately, we look more like Rome in decline every day.

I'm doing OK; pretty busy trying to finish up at work and get things sorted, packed, sold, auctioned, freecycled, or tossed out at home. I don't have any idea where all this stuff came from. I know I didn't move it up here.

We did find the bin that had all of our unsorted photos from the last couple years we lived down by Flint and the first couple years up here before I bought the digital. I don't remember if I had the film camera or digital camera at that state teen. I'll look through the digital photos tonight; the bin is going to have to wait until we settle. But I'm pretty sure that I had the digital for the one Jodi went on.
